FAQ's
How is the lab test performed?
At Good Sleep Diagnostics, our trained staff will collect and label your specimen, complete the necessary paperwork, and send it to our accredited lab. Results are typically available within 24 to 72 business hours and can be delivered to your preferred method or location.
How do I interpret my test results?
Results are provided in a clear, easy-to-understand format, showing whether the test is within the normal range, positive, or negative. For DNA relationship testing, the statistical probability of the relationship is included. If your results fall outside the normal range, we recommend sharing them with your physician for further review and guidance.
If I decide to cancel my test after my specimens have been collected, will I be eligible for a refund?
No, Good Sleep Diagnostics is committed to providing excellent service and ensuring customer satisfaction. However, once a test is collected and sent to the laboratory, we are unable to offer refunds. A draw center is a location where tests are ordered, specimens are collected, proper documentation is completed, and samples are then sent to the appropriate laboratory for analysis. Good Sleep Diagnostics operates as a draw center.
How will I receive my test results?
Good Sleep Diagnostics follows all HIPAA guidelines and state regulations to ensure the confidentiality of your test results. You can choose to receive your results by mail, fax, email, or by picking them up in person. Written consent is required to release your results to anyone other than yourself. Protecting your privacy and maintaining discretion is our top priority.
Can you e-mail my test results?
Good Sleep Diagnostics can email certain test results, following HIPAA and state regulations. A signed authorization is required to release any results. Tests like HIV cannot be emailed or faxed due to federal regulations and must be picked up in person.
Do I need an appointment?
No appointment is needed, but scheduling one can reduce wait time by ensuring everything is ready for your visit. Find a nearby location, call, or schedule online for your convenience.
Do I need a doctor's referral or order to have a lab test performed?
No, a doctor's referral or order is not required. Each location is overseen by a physician, but we can also fulfill tests with a formal order from your doctor.
How long will it take to get my test results?
Most test results are available within 24 to 72 hours on average. However, some tests may require additional processing time. For specific turnaround times, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Who can I contact if I have questions about my test results?
If you have questions about your test, please contact the staff at the location where it was performed. Good Sleep Diagnostics does not interpret results or provide medical diagnoses. For concerns, please consult your physician.
Where are your testing locations?
Currently, we have two convenient testing locations in Texas, serving the DFW Metroplex: one in Dallas and the other in Denton.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we do not directly accept insurance. However, we are happy to provide you with a Superbill, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please check with your insurer for details on coverage and the reimbursement process.
