This female hormone panel measures key blood markers, including follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), estradiol, total testosterone, unconjugated DHEA, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), and prolactin. Your hormone levels are constantly fluctuating and can impact your menstrual cycle, mood, metabolism, fertility, sleep, and overall body functions. Imbalances in these hormones may lead to irregular periods, ovulation problems, fertility issues, and conditions like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
PCOS is the most common hormonal disorder among women of reproductive age, yet many women are unaware they have it. Affecting 8-13% of women, about 70% of those with PCOS remain undiagnosed. Understanding your hormone levels can help you and your healthcare provider identify the underlying causes of your symptoms and determine the best course of action for your health.
What's Tested:
This test panel measures key hormones to help diagnose PCOS and other reproductive hormone issues, such as menstrual irregularities. It evaluates:
Ovulatory Dysfunction: Assesses irregular or absent periods, potentially caused by reproductive hormone imbalances.
Androgen Excess: Identifies excess male hormones that may cause symptoms like unwanted facial or body hair.
Differential Diagnosis: Helps rule out other health conditions with similar symptoms, like thyroid disorders.
This panel aids in identifying hormone imbalances and guiding appropriate treatment.
Preparing for Your Sample Collection
For the most accurate results, fasting is recommended. Please avoid eating or drinking anything except water for 8-12 hours before your sample collection.
